INFO: Chestermere Lake is a man-made reservoir built in the 1880's by CPR. The Lake covers a surface of 2.65 SqKm, has a depth of 7M and drains into two irrigation canals. It's filled via a canal from the Bow River. The town surrounds the lake and was incorporated in 1977.
