While it was established in the 50s and 60s, Killarney is undergoing quite the redevelopment with its many original properties being replaced with in-fill homes. Its variety of parks and open spaces allow for many activities to be had by all. Killarney has two golf courses on either end of the community, indoor ice rink at Optimist Park and has access to the Pathway. Also, Edworthy Park has great bike trails and a long toboggan hill.There are many shopping venues in the area with plazas on 37th St., Westbrook Mall and the Westhills Shopping Centre is not far.
