Parkhill/ Stanley Park are one of the City's oldest communities with Macleod Trail being the main artery into Downtown. "Architecture Alley" is Parkhill's 1A Street known for its beautiful in-fill homes with awesome views. Sitting on a north-facing hill, the neighborhood of Stanley Park overlooks the park that it is named after. The area also has low and medium density commercial buildings catering to the automobile industry. The Area Redevelopment Plan anticipates that the industrial land near the 39th Ave. LRT station will be replaced by commercial/residential mixed use. A very desirable location for executives with the Glencoe Club, Lindsay Park Sports Centre, the Arts Centre and the Stampede grounds a quick commute on the LRT. All shopping needs are met north or south on Macleod Trail or head into Downtown and try one of the city’s great restaurants.
