About Fonda and Forest Heights Communities

Fonda and Forest Heights are just south of Memorial Drive and north of 17 Ave SE (International Avenue). Fonda borders Forest Heights to the West. The communities are well connected to major roadways for city-wide transportation and downtown is minutes away via Memorial Drive. 

Forest Heights became part of Calgary in 1961 when Calgary annexed the town of Forest Lawn. Fonda was developed in the mid 1970s. Both communities have a range of affordable housing options from detached single family homes, townhouse condos and duplexes aplenty. Forrest Heights has a higher than average percentage of duplexes than the average Calgary community. This makes the area perfect for new Calgarians, and new first-time home buyers.
